Thanks Nevada for your movie suggestion, I watched it twice and both times it was fabulous! You are as good at picking movies as you are at photography!! Many happy trails in 2010!!

Which movie? The Year of Living Dangerously maybe? (I successfully have put in another plug for this great movie.) And a Happy 2010 to you. nv

Cheers indeed! The feeling of peace conveyed in your Orissa image is at extreme contrast with the India I’ve experienced today in chaotic, horn-blasting Jaipur.

Happy New Year.
I had a question that might make a nice topic (maybe).
Possibly some of the indigenous peoples that you photograph don’t do ‘writing’ or signatures in the way that we do.
I’m thinking that at least in some cases its not possible/reasonable to get a model release. Do publishing houses tend to be understanding given this scenario??
Or does much of your work not require model releases because it can get classed as non-commercial? I’m not sure where the line is drawn between what is considered non-commercial/editorial work when it comes to published books or other uses that are not specifically news periodicals.
